Welcome to the Quilter's Academy Journal

Harriet and I are glad you visited... we established this blog as a sort of question and answer forum for all of you who are working through the Quilter's Academy book series.
It is also a place to find a list of the errata from the books-
You can find those by looking back through the archived blogs.

So, welcome, and please post a comment if you have any questions or topics you would like us to discuss.

Merry Christmas!!
Can you believe that Christmas is nearly here, and after that the New Year.

This is just a quick note of thank you to all of you who have been following the blog and working through the Quilter's Academy series of books.

Harriet is not traveling quite a much as normal in 2012 and so she is planning on putting on her thinking cap and designing new classes and bootcamps as well as a teacher training seminar, and we are considering branching out into videos.... what format (web based or DVD's) we aren't sure yet, but we will keep you posted on the developments.

Again, just a quick note of Thanks and wishing you a Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year and happy quilting!

  1. Dear Ms Harriet and Ms Carrie: Thanks so much to each of you for having a "teacher's heart". I gave myself a Christmas present (your "Freshman Year), and I am just getting started on it. Step by step . . . slowly getting my sewing area established. I also thought I would blog about it every now and then on Word Press. I appreciate how you've taken me "back to the beginning".

  2. QuiltAcademy 2012-
We will keep up with your progress! Good luck and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions as you start working through the book(s). quilt.academy.q.a@earthlink.net!
    Happy Quilting
    Harriet & Carrie

  3. I am so excited that Harriet will be desiging a QA Teacher's training - sign me up. I have been having so much fun teaching QA and getting quilters hooked on thinking about the process.
